Everything you’d expect. A few things you wouldn’t.
The everyday things, done simply. Plus what India actually needs: scam protection, your own language, and a clear way to agree.
Reply to exactly what they said
Long-press any message and tap Reply. Your answer carries a short quote of the original, so nobody has to scroll up to work out what "yes" meant.
- The quote is inside the encryption, so the server cannot see what you replied to
- Quotes pass the same OTP and card check as everything else you send
- Add a purpose (Question, Request, Information) and a sharing preference to any message

Your face, every feeling
Build a cartoon of yourself in a minute. Every reaction then shows your face: smiling, laughing, saying namaste, thank you, "I hear you", "take care" or "shabaash".
- A drawing, never a photo: no selfie, no face scan, no biometric data
- Dastaar, hijab, ghunghat, safa, taqiyah, Mysore peta and more, grouped by how they are worn and never ranked
- Phulkari, kasavu, sador, puan, pashmina and other regional drapes
- No religion field, ever. Nothing religious is pre-selected for anyone
- Your face is shared only inside encrypted messages, never stored on our server

Groups with rules
Up to 30 members. Admins write plain-language rules, and new members agree before they join. When the rules change, everyone is asked again. Archive a group just for yourself; it comes back if someone writes.
Voice & video calls
One-to-one calls go directly between phones over WebRTC, or through a relay that cannot decrypt them. Call set-up travels in the same signed, encrypted envelopes as messages. Group calls are coming.
Photos & files
Encrypted on your phone before upload, up to 12 MB each. Files are never opened or run automatically, and APK and program files cannot be sent at all.
Disappearing messages
Choose 24 hours, 7 days or 90 days per chat. When the timer ends, the message is deleted from the server. A stranger's first message can never disappear, so you keep the evidence if it was a scam.
Clarify & agree
Turn a vague "ok" into an explicit agreement: what was meant, and by when. One person proposes, the other confirms, and it becomes a task for the person who agreed.
Message → task
Turn any message into a private next step with one tap. The Tasks tab shows what is still open.
Message requests
Someone you have never talked to can send 3 messages and no links until you accept. Accept, block or report with one tap.
No read receipts
Namaskara never tells anyone when you read their message. Your unread dots stay on your phone, so there is no pressure to reply instantly.
19 languages + typing help
Type "namaste" and see नमस्ते. Phonetic typing for 11 scripts, all on your phone. See all languages.
Being honest about what is missing
We would rather tell you than have you find out. These are on the roadmap: push notifications, voice notes, group calls, contact discovery without uploading your address book, restoring old messages on a new phone, and an iPhone app.
