Transparency report
What we did about reports, restrictions, appeals and requests. Counted by our server, not estimated.
Live numbers for the last 30 days: open the figures (plain JSON, refreshed on every visit). Any count from 1 to 4 is shown as “<5”, so that nobody can be identified from a small number.
What each figure means
| Figure | Meaning |
|---|---|
reports, reported_accounts | Reports people made with “Report and block”, and how many different accounts were reported. |
reports_by_reason | The reason chosen in each report (impersonation, asked for OTP, fake offer, screen-share request, harassment, spam, other). |
reports_with_evidence | Reports where the person chose to send us some of the messages they received. Without that choice we see no messages: they are end-to-end encrypted. |
restricted_accounts | Accounts limited to people who already accepted them, after reports from three different people they had actually messaged or called. |
restrictions_lifted | Restrictions a human reviewer removed, for example after an appeal. |
appeals | Requests to review a restricted account, made through the data-rights form. |
rights_requests, grievances, rights_closed_late | Requests under the DPDP Act (access, correction, erasure, consent withdrawal, nomination) and grievances; and how many were closed after our 30-day deadline. |
government_requests | Requests from police, courts or government for user data. We count every request we receive, even ones we refuse. |
message_content_disclosed | Always zero. Our server holds encrypted messages it has no key for, so it cannot read or hand over what people wrote. |
What these numbers do not show
- Scams stopped on the phone itself (warnings, blocked OTP sharing, hidden links). The checks run on the phone and nothing about them is sent to us.
- Anything before this report existed. Figures start in November 2026, during an invite-only pilot with a handful of accounts, so most counts will read “<5”.
